Dancer María la Serrana brings pure flamenco to TOBACCO. Expect fiery rhythms, lightning-fast footwork and a performance that gets right under your skin. Together with top musicians and dancers from Seville, she takes you into the world of traditional flamenco: raw, intense and filled with emotion.
With *DESNUDA* – Spanish for “naked” – María reveals not her body, but her inner world. It’s about daring to expose yourself beyond technique, dancing straight from the soul. A lesson she learned from Farruquito, and one that can be felt in every movement throughout this performance.
Throughout the evening, an intense journey unfolds through different flamenco styles: from the sensual and fragile zambra to an energetic jaleo, a desperate seguirya and an ever-deepening soleá. María is joined by an exceptional group of artists from Seville: the elegant dancer Antonio Moreno ‘Polito’ as special guest, singers Antonio Amador and Juan Fernández, and guitarist Luis Amador. Each performance also features a local female dancer.
An evening filled with passion, melancholy, energy and Andalusian warmth. Authentic flamenco as you rarely experience it.
