TOBACCO attaches great importance to the protection of your personal information. In this Privacy Policy, we would like to provide you with clear and transparent information about how we handle personal data.
We do everything we can to safeguard your privacy and handle your data with care. In all cases, TOBACCO complies with the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means that we at least:

PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA OF THE CUSTOMERS OR SUPPLIERS
Personal data of the customers or suppliers are processed by TOBACCO for the following purposes:

- communication regarding the assignment and/or invitations;
- carrying out an assignment;
- evaluation and approach.
The legal basis for this processing is the agreed assignment.
For the above purposes, TOBACCO may request the following personal data from you:

- infix;
- surname;
- (business) phone number;
- (business) email address;
- gender.
TOBACCO will store your personal data for the duration of the agreement and thereafter, for a maximum of 7 years in the financial administration only.
PROCESSING THE PERSONAL DATA OF NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIBERS
TOBACCO processes the personal data of newsletter subscribers for the following purposes:
- to inform the subscribers through news items and updates.
For the above purposes, TOBACCO may request the following personal data from you:
- first name;
- infix;
- surname;
- email address.
TOBACCO will store your personal data as long as you are registered for the newsletter.
PROCESSING THE PERSONAL DATA OF PROSPECTS, STAKEHOLDER/LOBBY CONTACTS AND/OR INTERESTED PARTIES
TOBACCO processes the personal data of prospects, stakeholder/lobby contacts and/or interested parties for the following purposes:
- to provide information via newsletters and/or targeted contacts.
The legal basis for this processing is a verbal consent, providing a business card and/or via a link on LinkedIn.
For the above purposes, TOBACCO may request the following personal data from you:
- first name;
- infix;
- surname;
- phone number;
- email address.
TOBACCO will store your personal data as long as you are considered a prospect, stakeholder/lobby contact or interested party.
PROCESSING THE PERSONAL DATA OF THE EMPLOYEES
TOBACCO processes the personal data of the employees for the following purposes:
- implementation of the employment contract.
The legal basis for this processing is the employment contract.
For the above purposes, TOBACCO may request the following personal data from you:
- first name;
- infix;
- surname;
- phone number;
- email address.
- date of birth;
- salary information;a copy of your ID;
- BSN-number;
- Bank details.
TOBACCO will store your personal data during the period of the employment contract and thereafter, in the financial administration for a maximum of 2 years.
PROVISION TO THIRD PARTIES
We may pass on the information you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the implementation of the purposes described.
We use third parties in order:
- to maintain the internet environment;
- to provide newsletters and invitations.
We never pass on personal data to any parties with whom we have not concluded a processing agreement. We will make the necessary arrangements with these parties to guarantee the security of your personal data. Furthermore, we do not provide your data to other parties, unless this is legally required or permitted. An example of this is when the police request personal data as part of an investigation. In that case, we are obliged to provide this information. We can also share personal data with third parties if you give us your written permission to do so.
PROVISION OUTSIDE THE EU
We do not provide personal data to any parties outside the EU.
MINORS
We only process personal data of minors (persons under the age of 16) if written permission has been given by a parent, guardian or legal representative.
RETENTION PERIOD
TOBACCO does not store personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, or as long as required by law. We store data for up to 7 years after the end of the agreement, unless longer retention periods are required by law (for example for tax purposes).
SECURITY
We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized processing. Some of these measures are:
- all persons who have access to your personal information on behalf of TOBACCO are obliged to maintain confidentiality;
- we have a username and password policy for all our systems;
- where necessary, we pseudonymise and encrypt personal data;
- we back up data so that it can be restored in the event of incidents;
- we regularly test and evaluate our security measures;
- our employees have been informed of the importance of protecting personal data.
RIGHTS REGARDING YOUR DATA
You have the right to inspect, rectify or delete the personal data that we have received from you. You can also object to processing your personal data (or part thereof) by us or by one of our processors. In addition, you have the right to have us transfer the data you provide to yourself or, on your behalf, directly to another party. We may ask you to verify your identity before we fulfil your requests.
If we process your personal data on the basis of the permission you have given, you always have the right to withdraw this permission.
COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about processing your personal data, please contact us. If we cannot reach an agreement together, you can always file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the supervisory authority in the field of privacy protection.
